This weekend we had the honor of being selected by Chevy to be to detailer of their display vehicles at the Army / Navy game at FedEx Field just outside Washington D.C. Chevrolet was an official sponsor of the 112th Army / Navy game and had 9 vehicles positioned around the stadium. 7 of these vehicles were 2012 models of their most popular vehicles. The Silverado, Camaro, Malibu, Cruz, Sonic, Volt, Equinox were all on display. There was also a commemorative vinyl wrapped Sonic, and a custom air brushed Camaro. This Camaro was more like a work of art than a car, but needed cleaned up nonetheless.

The Camaro, featuring airbrushing by Mickey Harris, was absolutely amazing. The art work on the vehicle represented all five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy) and also a few of the military’s highest individual awards and current campaign medals. This Camaro will eventually be sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction in January in Scottsdale, AZ. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Achilles Freedom Team, which helps wounded veterans stay active and overcome their injuries through athletics. For more information about this cause, please visit their site at, Achilles Freedom Team.

Chevrolet needed a professional detailing company to come to the Stadium on Friday morning to clean up their vehicles as they came off the truck. Once the vehicles were detailed, we applied vinyl stickers to the doors to commemorate the game. We then returned on Saturday morning before the game to clean off any dust or finger prints.

This was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was electric, there was a sense pride and excitement in the air. Since the President would be attending, security at the stadium was extremely tight, but once we were in, we got right to work. We were happy to be working this event, and honored to help Chevy raise money for such an important cause.
